Northwood Point is a residential community located within the Northwood area of Irvine, California. The boundaries of Northwood Point are Portola Parkway to the north, Culver Drive to the west, and the Hicks Canyon Trail to the south, which separates Northwood Point from the rest of Northwood.

Within Northwood Pointe itself there are densely arranged neighborhoods, many of them gated, and at the center of the community are Northwood Montessori School and Canyon View Elementary. There are three main entrances to Northwood Pointe, one at Culver Drive and Meadowood, another at Yale Avenue and Portola Parkway, and another at Yale Avenue just north of Hicks Canyon Drive.

Northwood Pointe is also a recent development by the renowned Irvine Company, so you can expect a similar level of quality and design here compared to Irvine’s other highly-desirable communities. Most of the homes were built in the 1990s, displaying an excellent mix of Mediterranean styles, including Italianate, Santa Barbara, and Spanish Revival features and elements.

Northwood Pointe is an area with excellent community facilities and amenities. At the heart of Northwood Pointe is the complex formed by Canyon View Elementary and the Northwood Montessori School, including Meadowood Park. Meadowood Park offers residents the use of a large green with trails, a ballpark, junior Olympic-sized pool, beach volleyball court, basketball court, and play area.
Other community areas in Northwood Pointe are Citrusglen Park with many features including four tennis courts, and Trailwood Park, with a large pool and sunbathing area, picnic facilities, and a play pad.
There’s also the Hicks Canyon Trails which forms the southern boundary of Northwood Pointe. This scenic trail connects to Hicks Canyon Park a short distance west and the agricultural areas of Loma Ridge to the east.
Around Northwood Pointe there are many conveniences and services, including shopping centers and plazas, and schools like Eastwood Elementary, Santiago Hills Elementary, Sierra Vista Middle, Hicks Canyon Elementary, and the prestigious Northwood Highschool to the north across the Portola Parkway.
