With the recent changes in federal regulation mandating newly manufactured HVAC and water heater systems to be more energy efficient, it’s important to know the basics whether home shopping or updating your current home. SEER stands for “Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.” The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the HVAC unit is.
