This is possibly the best burger in Orange County- I know, bold statement. A hidden gem in Irvine (minutes from Newport Beach), its customers know about it by word of mouth as it is tucked away in a commercial space below a group of high rise office buildings in Irvine off of MacArthur Boulevard and Main Street - and not easy to find. Not your typical burger joint, it puts a gourmet spin on its burgers and a hipster edge to its atmosphere.
Everything about this place is fun… from the menu- try The Roaring Forties Burger: Blue Cheese, portobello mushrooms, and horseradish sauce; or The Habanero Burger: with 4 chile escalivada, garlic mayo, topped with queso fresco- to the staff- to the funky beats blaring from the speakers. The quality of the meat is amazing and melts in your mouth, and their special Karma sauce is a perfect compliment to other gourmet ingredients such as hummus, guacamole, and caramelized onions.
Their steak fries are delicious, but if you must balance out the meal, their mixed green salad with balsamic dressing is a refreshing substitute for the fries. Great drinks too! Try the strawberry basil lemonade or the iced green tea. The owner is always there, making sure his customers are satisfied with their meal and getting to know his regulars. You instantly become a local when you start frequenting this spot. Definition of cool.
