Are you looking for a 'fun and adventurous' outdoor location to take 'little ones'? Try the 'creek' by Bonita Park at University Drive and La Veda in Newport Beach - minutes from Fashion Island. There is a small preserve adjacent to the parking lot that runs parallel to MacArthur. A small creek runs among the trees and once you are there makes you feel like you are in the 'great outdoors'. It takes me back to my youth when there were numerous open areas close by your home that allowed one to explore. I take my 2.5 year old grandson here to look at the 'fish', throw twigs and rocks into the water. I love watching him get a thrill out of it and it’s a special bonding moment for us.
